Many moons had passed ever since a hermetic cloak of silence had fallen upon the land of sky castles and golden cities, because Flaming Bess, the incredibly beautiful goddess of light, had exhaled her radiant odem for ever.

From her abandoned alabaster throne, alchemists of evil now transformed light into shadow, and lies into truth. A black sun sparkled darkly in the fractured sky, and darkness-spitting Lizards carried the gloom into every house. It was then that Arkana, former bridegroom of Flaming Bess, decided to search for the very last source of light. With just a handful of companions, he set out on a long, dangerous quest.

One of the oldest still active Progressive Rock Band from Düsseldorf, Germany, originally formed in 1969.

1979's "Tanz Der Götter." was a highly regarded album of it's time.

The band has kept going, remaining true to their vision, without becoming antiquated.
